مصر تتسلم جرعات أولية من لقاح “جونسون آند جونسون” المضاد لكوفيد-١٩ احادي الجرعة عبر اتفاقية الاتحاد الأفريقي

تم تسليم الشحنات الأولية من اللقاح احادي الجرعة المضاد لكوفيد-١٩ الخاص بشركة “جونسون آند جونسون” إلى مصر بموجب شروط اتفاقية الشراء مع الصندوق الاستئماني الأفريقي لشراء اللقاحات. خُصصت هذه الجرعات الأولية من قبل المراكز الأفريقية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها وشركائها، ويتوقع أن يتبع ذلك عمليات تسليم إضافية.

تعتقد شركة “جونسون آند جونسون” أن لقاح احادي الجرعة و سهل التوزيع، أداة مهمة لمكافحة الوباء على مستوى العالم. وهذا الأمر هو الذي دفع الشركة للالتزام بتوريد 900 مليون جرعة اجمالية من اللقاح إلى الاتحاد الأفريقي وآلية “كوفاكس”.

قال الدكتور رامز محسن، المدير التنفيذي لشركة جانسن للأدوية لمصر وشمال أفريقيا والأردن: “إننا فخورون بالعمل مع الاتحاد الأفريقي والحكومة المصرية للمساهمة في خطة التحصين ضد كوفيد-١٩ومساعدة الشعب المصري.”

وأضاف: “منذ بداية الجائحة، عملنا بلا كلل لتطوير لقاح احادي الجرعة يكون آمنًا وفعالاً وسعره مناسب لمساعدة العالم في مواجهة تلك الأزمة الصحية المدمرة.”

وأوضح أن “توفر القاح الخاص بنا في مصر يبرز جهودنا الحثيثة لمواجهة هذا الوباء على نطاق عالمي”، مُثمنا “التعاون الوثيق مع السلطات الصحية المصرية.”

Initial doses of Johnson & Johnson single-shot COVID-19 vaccine delivered to Egypt through African Union agreement

First shipments of the
Johnson & Johnson single-shot COVID-19 vaccine have been delivered to Egypt under the terms of the purchase agreement with the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT). These initial doses were allocated by the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and its partners, and additional deliveries are expected to follow.

Johnson & Johnson believes that a single-shot, easy to distribute COVID-19 vaccine is an essential tool to combat the pandemic globally. This is why the Company has committed to supply up to a combined 900 million doses of the vaccine to the African Union and the COVAX Facility.
